At rental end, return equipment or extend. Skorppio sends reminders 7, 3, and 1 day before. Back up data — all drives are wiped. Late return fees apply.

Advance Notifications

You have two choices when your rental wraps up: ship it back or extend. We start sending email reminders a week out, so you will have plenty of lead time. One thing to do before the hardware leaves — back up your data, because every drive gets wiped the moment it is back in our hands.

You will receive email reminders at the following intervals before your rental end date:

  • 7 days before

  • 3 days before

  • 1 day before

  • Day of return

Use this notice period to back up your data, arrange return shipping, or contact our team to extend.

Option 1: Return Your Equipment

Ship the equipment back using the return shipping label included in your original packaging. Your scheduled return date is the date the equipment is due — you are not charged rental fees for time in transit.

For full return instructions, see How Do I Return My Equipment?

Option 2: Extend Your Rental

Contact our team at least five business days before your rental end date. Extensions are subject to availability and priced at the current market rate.

For full details, see How Do I Extend My Rental?

Back Up Your Data Before Returning

All returned systems undergo NIST 800-88 compliant data wiping. Enhanced destruction options (DoD wipe, physical destruction) are available at additional cost. See What Is Skorppio's Data Wiping and Security Policy? for details.

Late Returns and Holdover Charges

If equipment is not returned by the scheduled date and no extension has been arranged, holdover charges apply at the prevailing rental rate. Additional fees may also be assessed.
